Seattle HIV Vaccine Trials Unit

HIV is everywhere, and it’s not going away. Yet.

The Seattle HIV Vaccine Trials Unit (HVTU) is currently conducting research studies to try to find a vaccine that would prevent HIV infections.
There’s no doubt that the world is desperately in need of an HIV vaccine.

An estimated 33.3 million people worldwide are living with HIV
In the U.S., it’s estimated that 1.5 million people are HIV infected
More than 25 million people have died of AIDS since 1981
As of 2007, Africa has about 12 million orphans because of AIDS deaths
Approximately 40,000 people in the U.S. will be infected with HIV this year

With facts like these, a vaccine can’t come soon enough. Check out our site and if you have any questions e-mail us at info@seattlevaccines.org, call us at 206.667.2300 or click here to tell us about yourself!
