Seattle HIV Vaccine Trials Unit

HIV is everywhere, and it’s not going away. Yet.

The Seattle HIV Vaccine Trials Unit (HVTU) is currently conducting research studies to try to find a vaccine that would prevent HIV infections.
There’s no doubt that the world is desperately in need of an HIV vaccine.

* Since the beginning of the epidemic, almost 60 million people have been infected with HIV. UNAIDS 2009
* In the U.S., it’s estimated that 1 million people are HIV infected. CDC 2008
* The number of people living with HIV infection in the US (HIV prevalence) is higher than ever before. CDC Aug 2011

With facts like these, a vaccine can’t come soon enough. Check out our site and if you have any questions e-mail us at, call us at 206.667.2300 or click here to tell us about yourself!
